Neighbors

2021

Neighbors began as a personal project in 2021, during a year spent mostly at home amidst the isolation of the COVID pandemic. Living in the Mission District of San Francisco, I found myself growing curious about my neighbors—those I saw every day but knew little about. In an age where technology dominates our social lives, we often feel distanced from those closest to us. I started noticing fragments left behind: grocery receipts, love letters, and notes scribbled on the pavement. Neighbors is a collection of these found words paired with my imagined portraits of those who might have written them, inviting a closer look at the unseen lives within our communities.
